Security & data residency

Every recording, transcript and summary stays inside the European Union

Meetwise is built and hosted in Europe by default, and lets every organization choose to keep the AI processing itself inside the EU too, not only where the data is stored.

Hosted in the EU, not routed through it

Frankfurt, Germany

Every recording, transcript and summary is stored on European cloud infrastructure, inside EU borders. Access is scoped to your own organization, and every sensitive action leaves an audit trail you can read back.

European cloud data center

Where your data lives

Recordings, transcripts and summaries are stored in a European data centre in Frankfurt. Audio objects are private, every server route derives your organization from the signed-in session, and row-level security keeps one organization's data out of another's reach.

  • Private audio objects and tenant-scoped server routes.
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Audit records for sensitive management and deletion actions.

Who can see what

People sign in with their work account through Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on, so joiners and leavers follow your existing identity process. Owner, admin and member roles decide who can configure automation, who can read a recording and who can delete one.

  • Owner, admin and member roles per workspace.
  • Single sign-on through your own identity provider.
  • Automation rules are set by owners and admins, not by individual users.

Retention and deletion

Raw audio is removed after 90 days by default, and your organization can set a shorter or longer window within bounds. A permanent deletion removes the audio object first, then the transcript, summary and action items that were derived from it, and keeps a metadata-only audit event so the erasure itself stays provable.

Two ways to run the AI

Choose where the intelligence runs, not just where the files are stored

Every organization picks its processing pipeline once, in Settings. Recordings, transcripts and summaries are always stored in the EU — Meetwise Intelligence Europe extends that same guarantee to the transcription and summarization step itself.

Meetwise Intelligence

The default pipeline

Transcription runs on OpenAI, summarization on Anthropic's Claude. This pipeline also powers opt-in voice-based speaker recognition, so a returning speaker can be matched automatically across meetings.

  • Transcription: OpenAI
  • Summarization: Anthropic Claude
  • Powers opt-in voice-based speaker matching
100% EU processing

Meetwise Intelligence Europe

Every processing step inside the EU

Transcription and summarization both run on Mistral, a European AI provider. For organizations that need every step of the pipeline, not only storage, to stay inside EU borders, this is a one-click switch.

  • Transcription: Mistral (EU)
  • Summarization: Mistral (EU)
  • Same transcript, summary and action-item format

Owners and admins switch between the two pipelines from Settings, per organization. Nothing about the review workflow changes; only where the AI processing runs.
